Connecting Wavelet to External Power

The Wavelet can be connected to an external power source instead of relying solely on the internal battery.

Prerequisites

  • Use a 42-00009 (SAL-8-RSC3-S) CONEC connector.

  • Use a cable with the following specifications:

    • Wire cross-section: 0.14–0.5 mm²

    • Wire gauge: AWG 26–20

    • Cable diameter: 4–5.5 mm

Connect the external power cable to the Wavelet’s 3-pin power outlet.

Important Notes

  • Do not remove the internal battery, as it serves as a backup during external power loss.

  • Data is stored in non-volatile memory, preventing loss even if both power sources fail.

  • While using external power:

    • The internal battery is preserved.

    • Battery status remains visible in the Battery Life stream under the Samples tab.
