Viewing Sites
A Site is a logical entity representing the installation location of a Data Logger. Typically, a Site includes one device, although multiple devices can be assigned to a single Site in specific scenarios.
Steps to View Site Information
In the left pane, click Devices and then select Fleet Management.
Use the search bar to enter the serial number and locate the Site in the search results.
Click on the Site name to open the right pane.
Information Displayed in the Right Pane
Site Details: Includes the Site name, its associated collection, and latitude/longitude coordinates.
Location Tab: Displays the Site's location on a map.
You can change the view from Street (default) to Map or Satellite by clicking the Layers icon in the top-right corner.
Note: Most devices have an internal GPS module that automatically populates the coordinates. Devices without a GPS module require manual entry of latitude and longitude values. For details, refer to DLLTE-LT documentation.
Troubleshooting: Updated GPS Coordinates Not Visible
Problem: Updated GPS coordinates are not appearing in the UI.
Recommended Actions:
Wait for Processing:
GPS coordinates may take several minutes to process after being reported by the device.
Force GPS Update:
Swipe the magnetic Activator key under a clear sky to trigger the GPS update. This action is effective outdoors and typically updates coordinates within a week.
Reboot the Device Remotely:
Navigate to Devices in the left pane.
Select the device in the Sites Tree pane.
In the right pane, below the device image, click Actions > Reboot.
Important: For accurate GPS signal detection
The internal GPS antenna is located at the top of the device, opposite the connectors panel.
The antenna requires a clear view of the sky for 5–10 minutes. Obstructions like trees, buildings, or roofs can interfere with the signal.
