Managing Stream Custom Attributes

As an Account owner, you can define, edit, and delete custom attributes for each stream. A custom attribute includes:

• Name: For example, "Model".

• Value: For example, "Analog".

• Optional Comment: Additional notes or context.

Custom attributes and their assigned values are displayed in the right pane of the data stream, below the graph.

Adding a Custom Attribute

1. Navigate to Account Management in the left pane.

2. Select Stream Custom Attributes.

3. Click + Add Custom Attribute. The Create Custom Attribute window opens.

   • Enter a Name for the custom attribute.

   • Optionally, enter a Comment.

   • Click Submit. The new custom attribute appears in the Custom Attributes table.

Assigning Values to Custom Attributes for a Stream

1. Navigate to Devices > Fleet Management in the left pane.

2. Select the desired Site and go to the Site Tab.

3. In the right pane, click Actions under the graph and select Edit Stream.

   • Note: The defined custom attributes are displayed in the right pane.

4. In the Stream Name and Type Configuration window:

   • Enter a value for the custom attribute.

   • Click Submit.

Result: The right pane will now display the custom attribute and its assigned value.

Editing or Deleting a Custom Attribute

1. Navigate to Account Management in the left pane.

2. Select Stream Custom Attributes.

3. Hover over the line corresponding to the custom attribute you want to modify. Action icons will appear.

4. Take the required action:

   • Edit: Modify the custom attribute's Name or Comment by clicking the edit icon and updating the settings in the popup window.

   • Delete: Remove the custom attribute from the database by clicking the delete icon.
