Move Device to New Site
The Move Device to a New Site feature is designed for scenarios such as Data Logger rentals, allowing the device to be reassigned to a new owner while retaining the original data with the previous customer.
Eligibility
This functionality is available for users with the following roles:
Account Owner
Partner
Steps to Move a Device
Navigate to Fleet Management in the left pane.
Enter the Serial Number of the Data Logger to be moved.
Select Actions > Move Device to a New Site.
Choose how the configuration should be applied to the device:
Keep current device and data streams configuration: Retains the existing configuration without changes.
Apply a template: Assigns a predefined template to the device for streamlined reconfiguration.
Confirm the action and complete the process.
This feature simplifies device management in rental workflows by ensuring seamless reassignment without affecting historical data integrity.
